On 24 February 2011 we held a presentation on the request of the Klebelsberg Cultural Circle, Vác. Within the framework of Technical and Scientific Programs of Vác, Hungarian researchers, developers and engineers present their interesting current projects every month.
During the first part of the presentation Dr. Csaba Ferencz (ELTE Space Research Group) outlined the achievements and the position of Hungarian space research in the world, as well as the importance of space research and satellites in the sustainability of our civilization. In the second part of the presentation Zoltán Kovács (BME Masat-1 Development Team) introduced the first satellite developed, designed and built entirely in Hungary.

Now you have the opportunity to raise any questions, as the Ministry of National Resources (NEFMI) will hold an Open Day on 7 May, between 10 AM and 2 PM in its office building in Akadémia utca. The aim of the Open Day is to give the public an overview of the Ministry’s work performed in the background via various activities. During the event the operation of the institution is shown in an informal, comprehensible way, enabling the visitors to understand the connections between the different sectors.
The developers of MASAT-1 were also invited to the program, so it will be possible to meet also with us.
